Before we started Apricot we provided bespoke software for several clients in recruitment, and we also became aware of alternative software on the market. We weren't impressed with the options and in particular, there wasn't much for smaller operators. Other products were hard to use and expensive, with high set-up costs, over-priced user licenses and obligatory support contracts.
As long as you have the internet then you can access Apricot: any time and anywhere. Update records whenever you want.

Most surprising was just how difficult other recruitment software is to use. We were amazed to see such clunky, old-fashioned and complicated solutions. In particular, recruitment software solutions can be:
- Unnecessarily complicated by features that aren't needed
- Difficult to use and not instinctive
- Too fixed in how you could use them
