SG033 - Technical Sales Manager - Europe

De Lacy Executive have been engaged to recruit a Technical Sales Manager to cover Uk, Ireland and northern Europe. Selling mainly in to the Ruminant and Monogastric market but also development of the Pet market too. Our client is a significant global player in specialist, natural feed ingredient production and supply. They are a rapidly expanding business who have managed to significantly grow sales through the production and distribution of products based on science and research coupled with sound technical integrity. Their products are Widley used in the Farm Ruminant, Monogastric, Pet and Food sectors.We are looking for a motivated and self-disciplined person who has a great balance of technical knowledge, ability to communicate that knowledge and proven commerciality to optimise sales and sales potential, mainly B2B. In this role you will;

Maintain and grow sales with existing customers

Seek out and optimise new sales opportunities

Focus on growing the Ruminant and Monogastric Market

Train customers distributors on understanding and using company tools and products

Promote the company brand image as a high quality, science-based preferred supplier of specialist, natural feed ingredients

Be an Expert on company products and their application

Develops the appropriate knowledge and tools for all products to satisfy the needs of customers

Work closely with internal Sales Team, Technical Specialists, Product Manager and Global Business Manager

Work closely with the external contacts of Customers, distributors, scientists, nutritionists, universities, veterinarians and consultants

Plan and manage customer-focused activities

Analyze the market, feedback from customers, and communicate results to key people in the company

Actively participate in internal projects contributing to the further development of the company

Frequent visit to customers and prospecting customers inside the region under responsibility

Transfer knowledge on feed additives to distributors and end customers

Promote preliminary activities on sales sales support tools based on market knowledge, science, knowledge and RD results

For this role you must;

Have knowledge of feed ingredients and animal nutrition on a scientific level (MSc. or PhD is an advantage)

Have a Degree level in natural sciences - if possible Veterinary Medicine, preferentially with complementary education in economics/business at university or college level

Have administrative/scientific experience at management level in one or more areas within animal nutrition

Be familiar with IT as a working tool (MS Office). International experience is an advantage.

Be dynamic, proactive and mobile

Have commercial sensitivity but be results oriented

Be willing to travel up to 60% of the time

Have great communication and networking skills

Languages:

oEnglish: mandatory spoken and written

oFrench: Preferred spoken and written

oAny other language: additional qualification
