Our well known and well respected international client has a great opportunity. They are looking to recruit a Commercial Technical Manager to continue to develop their presence in the UK swine market.

Our client is a key international animal nutrition company that produces a range of feeds for many leading industry players. Their proven range of products enhance feed safety, are supported by scientific research and are manufactured to the highest standards. Products are sold to the, pre mixers,integrators, feed manufactures, feed merchants, feed material suppliers and large farming accounts.

Your role will be to help develop the UK swine market, through sound technical knowledge, ability to communicate it to the end user and a commercial astuteness that will deliver profitable results. You will use initiative and autonomy to drive market penetration and profitable sales on the back of sound technically driven products. This is a rewarding role for a professional and nutritionally competent person with the ability to succeed in a senior role. This role is largely office based in the north midlands but some travel throughout the UK and internationally will be required.

Your Role:

Technical support and management to the sales team.

Commercial Account Management for key accounts, and distributors

Involvement in RD and technical product development

Organise and establish marketing priorities and business activities to maximise sales

Working closely with European product managers as appropriate

Keep informed of competitive activities, new products and industry trends

You will have:

Relevant degree/HND in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Agriculture or equivalent experience.

Excellent experience in monogastric (pig) nutrition

Excellent commercial ability

Have a good knowledge of UK and Global pig production systems

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Proven sales skills

Computer skills

Be numerate, analytical and objective

This role is largely office based in the north midlands but some travel throughout the UK and internationally will be required.

Remuneration: The remuneration package for this senior role is negotiable and may include relocation expenses.
