The company is a respected provider of support services to farms. The appointed manager will service the current client base in the region whilst promoting, developing and expanding the business throughout the East Midlands. The role will primarily entail building strong business relationships with farmer clients, negotiating and providing support services.

The successful candidate will ideally have commercial experience in roles such as sales and key account management with strong practical farming knowledge. Commercial acumen and people management skills, combined with the ability to communicate very effectively at all levels, will be required.

Additional requirements include:

Respond positively to the "development" environment by being able to thrive on both the challenges and the opportunities.

Understand the necessity to earn his/her keep as quickly as possible and be prepared to help with the "menial as well as the magnificent" tasks.

Have a broad understanding of how "doing business" is changing and how to develop business in this environment.

Possess empathy with and contacts in the farming sector in order to be credible to influence and persuade.

Demonstrate passion, "can do" determination, clarity in planning to meet objectives, significant self-motivation.
