The success applicant will be a motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude to lead the busy, transactional and operational functions of the feed product area, ensuring customer and supplier engagement is at the highest possible level.

De Lacy Executive has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager. This is a unique opportunity to expand the livestock area of an established business. The success applicant will be a motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude to lead the busy, transactional and operational functions of the feed product area, ensuring customer and supplier engagement is at the highest possible level.

The ideal candidate will be actively involved in the general management of the business and selling the wider benefits of the company. This will require expert knowledge of feed products and the supply chain, while being a confident, motivational manager with a proven track record of achieving results.

This is a high-level role, with an opportunity to manage and develop own team. The successful applicant will been involved at all commercial levels from farm level to board level.

The requirements:

Educated to degree level.

Expert knowledge of Feed products, Supply chain, FAR Membership.

Strong Management Track Record.

Strategic thinker - Member and Customer focused.

Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

Competent in writing reports, articles and presenting self in front of an audience.

Data analysis and data interpretation skills.

Demonstrate the ability to identify and make improvements.

Experienced in setting and exceeding targets.

Strong networking skills, able to interact at high level with member and team members.

Personal qualities:

Driven and motivated, hands on self-starter, can do attitude.

Gravitas and credibility.

Confident to make and defend decisions.

Used to working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Devise and deliver ideas for improvement and business development.

Team player but able to work under own initiative.

Location:

The location of the role can to an extent be based around the ideal candidate. However, preference would go to those in the Midlands.
