S221 - Business Development Manager - Agrochemicals - Norfolk

De Lacy Executive is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager within the Agchem sector for a successful and growing business in Norfolk. This key role will be to grow and develop the Agchem business area to increase turnover in this core business unit. Key tasks will include working alongside Business Units and Key Account Managers to develop the potential as well as looking at routes to market. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, with demonstrable experience within a relevant arable/crop inputs business.

This key role will be to grow and develop the Agchem business area to increase turnover in this core business unit. Key tasks will include working alongside Business Units and Key Account Managers to develop the potential as well as looking at routes to market. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, with demonstrable experience within a relevant arable/crop inputs business.

Responsibilities:

Analyse gaps in the market and plan accordingly.

To plan and manage work time to maximise contact with existing and potential customers.

To use business information and technical knowledge to maximise potential.

To keep up to date with competitor activity and information and report on as appropriate.

To continually benchmark progress and plan ahead.

To attend all relevant internal/external and customer meetings.

Requirements:

Knowledge of product area and related markets essential (including pricing structures/changing markets and technological changes).

BASIS qualified would be a huge advantage.

Strong negotiation skills required.

Competent in writing reports, articles and presentation skills.

Strong networking skills.

Able to deal with a variety of personalities.

The ability to develop credibility both internally and externally.

Used to working to very tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Able to work in a highly demanding atmosphere.

Able to come up with ideas for improvement and development of the business.

Team player but also able to work alone and use own initiative.
