Do you have the qualities to manage and develop one of the UK`s foremost cattle societies? The British Charolais Cattle Society is thriving and supports the development of Europes No1 beef breed. The forthcoming retirement of the CEO creates a vacancy providing both excitement and challenge at a significant and evolving period for British agriculture and for the beef supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic and operational leadership to BCCS in the principal areas of breed development.

Business planning and financial management.

Development of customer focused marketing/PR in the UK and overseas.

Ensuring that breed development objectives are in line with market needs and are clearly communicated to members.

Leading the team responsible for the efficient administration of the society.

Key Requirements:

Leadership and astute commercial and financial management.

Marketing, promotional and organisational skills.

Diplomacy and business network builder.

Passion for the beef industry and knowledge of Charolais cattle and pedigree cattle breeding would be beneficial.

This is a full-time role with additional evenings/weekends required for sales and marketing activities. Applicants with a business/personal involvement in trading cattle or cattle related products are unlikely to be considered except with the consent of the Board.

Remuneration: A competitive remuneration package is offered for this pivotal role.
