L028 - Regional Farm Liaison Officer - South East England

A self - motivated team player is required to join our clients team to cover the South East. This home based role involves visiting farmers throughout the region. You will be responsible for uploading, validating, analysis and providing feedback to farmers of data to assess and improve the performance of their farming businesses. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to validation of data sets nationally and be required to work closely with in all agricultural sectors to support knowledge exchange activities.

You will be responsible for uploading, validating, analysis and providing feedback to farmers of data to assess and improve the performance of their farming businesses. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to validation of data sets nationally and be required to work closely with in all agricultural sectors to support knowledge exchange activities.

Key Responsibilities;

To support farmers in uploading data to the system in line with the specified guidelines.

To validate data sets collected by colleagues or contractors.

Work with managers, farmer-facing staff and external consultants in interpreting and feeding back benchmarking reports to groups of farmers.

Organise the delivery of benchmarking and be responsible for the achievement of agreed targets for data collection.

Regular contact with internal stakeholders and farmers.

Feed-back programme improvement ideas or development needs to the Farm Benchmarking Manager.

Work as a valuable member of the Farm Economics team and work towards shared objectives.

To assist with the training of contract data collectors and new team members as required.

To represent on a regional basis and to promote the benchmarking programmes to the farming community in conjunction with Knowledge Exchange Managers.

To undertake significant travel within the UK.

Candidate Requirements;

An Agricultural qualification or equivalent experience.

Knowledge of physical and financial data recording systems, including tax and management accounts.

Knowledge of farming practices and inputs markets in the dairy, arable, beef and sheep sectors.

Achieve and maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.

Organised, enthusiastic and motivated.

Computer literate.

Full UK driving licence.

Rumuneration; A competitive package offered with vehicle.
