G321 - National Sales Director

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a National Sales Director. Our client is a progressive and profitable business with a broad range of products distributed through a trade network in the specialist feed, fertiliser and transport sectors.

Our Client offers:

Autonomy and active involvement in business development decisions.

The opportunity for appointment as Director.

Simple management structure reporting direct to the MD.

Support of a financially strong and established business.

A substantial remuneration package with significant potential total earnings is offered. Additionally, for the right person there will be significant opportunities for progression within the company.

Our client has given strict instructions that all enquires must be directed through De Lacy Executive. Direct enquires will not be well received.

Key Responsibilities:

Open and manage key accounts.

Appoint, grow and develop merchants and their representatives.

Support merchant coverage by selling direct to large farms and market influencers.

Work closely with the MD to devise the strategic plan and growth forecasts.

Lead and train the Sales Team, including arranging sales meetings and expanding the team etc.

Providing Technical and product support to others.

Manage the business tactics including pricing and promotions.

Proactively engage with the CRM system.

Key Candidate Attributes:

Experience of sales directed through distributors.

Have a high level of technical and product knowledge particularly of the animal feed market but ideally also have knowledge of fertiliser.

Ability to manage the sales team but to be the key "hands on" sales resource.

Commercial and strategic acumen.

Strong work ethic and drive for success.

Relevant contacts in the industry would be helpful.

Although this is a National role, the successful candidate will need to be based in the Midlands.
