G315 - Senior Sales Person looking for the Next Step - West and South West

An excellent career opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager for the Region encompassing the South Midlands, South Wales and the South West. Our client is an established and profitable business with a broad range of products in the specialist feed sector. A Directorship will be offered upon achievement of key performance criteria.

The company has a presence in the territory but there is considerable scope for the further development of merchant client business under the right business development manager. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are currently in agricultural sales but want to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, grow and incentivise merchants and their representatives.

Sell direct to large farms and market influencers where merchant coverage is weak.

Work closely with the MD to devise the strategic plan and growth forecasts.

Manage the business tactics including pricing and promotions.

Proactively engage with the CRM system.

Key Candidate Attributes:

Extensive farm/merchant sales experience.

Ability to manage the region but to be the key "hands on" sales resource.

Commercial and strategic acumen.

Strong work ethic.

Driven for success and career growth.

Knowledge of the animal and/or plant nutrients market.

Ideally have relevant contacts in the region.
