An experienced AD Site Operations Manager is required to work closely with the Project management team on the build and commissioning of an AD plant in North Yorkshire
An experienced AD Site Operations Manager is required to work closely with the Project management team on the build and commissioning of an AD plant in North Yorkshire which will create gas from the decomposition of organic matter, including food waste through the process of anaerobic digestion.
During and post commissioning responsibilities will include the day to day management of the plant to ensure compliance with company requirements and ensure that adequate and effective systems and resources are in place to maintain the highest safety standards and environmental reporting. Ensure the new operations team works in line with our guiding principles.
The Role:Phase 1
To have a hands on approach during the time the AD plant is in build and develop an understanding of how the plant works and will eventually be operated.
Phase 2 Operation
Management of the AD plant on a day to day basis including but not exclusively:
Management of all operatives including recruitment of staff, management of staff rotas, identifying training needs and managing individual development to ensure optimum team performance and in line with company policies and procedures.
Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the AD Plant covering all phases of plant operations including: Safety, Environment, Operations, maintenance and quality control.
Managing the feeding of the plant to deliver optimum gas production.
Working with the feedstock provider to ensure products are ordered when required and delivered to the intake building.
Managing the production, storage and outload of soup to either the AD plant or third parties as required.
Development, implementation and management of a forecasting process for feeding the plant and supplying soup to third parties.
Management of all intakes into the AD plant and all offtakes from it including haulage.
Managing the maintenance and maintenance contracts of the AD plant ensuring scheduled maintenance is carried out when required.
Deliver all outages to time and budget ensuring availability is maintained per contract.
Managing the performance of the plant ensuring the plant is operating at its optimum performance level.
Taking the lead role in Health and Safety and environmental legislation developing systems and processes which ensure the plant is operated safely and in line with any statutory obligations and site safety rules so that the health and safety of employees, contractors and any other visitors is secured.
Managing all reporting and transactional requirements of the plant such as order processing, Ofgem submissions, health and safety documentation, scheduled maintenance contracts etc. Create, justify and manage both revenue and Capital budgets reporting all variances monthly to group manager
Build a strong team ethos and implement a continuous improvement culture across all areas of the site to improve output
