G306 - Animal Feed Formulator/New Product Developer - Midlands
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an animal feed formulator and new product developer for our entrepreneurial, progressive and well established client.
The successful candidate must hold at least an HND or a degree in an agricultural discipline, ideally with a livestock bias. This person will have a genuine interest in and a broad understanding of farm animal nutrition. They will also possess drive, determination and the ability to contribute to the effective working of a team. Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to tight deadlines will be required.
Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in an animal nutrition related role and/or practical experience of farm livestock. Recent graduates will also be considered however.
This is largely an office based role but will involve some travel to trial sites.
The work is varied and includes approximately 50% of the working week formulating feeds and assisting the Commercial Manager in the preparation of quotations. The other 50% of the time will be hands on in product development liaising with the production team, laboratory and trial sites under the guidance of the Technical Manager. Encouragement will be given to develop your own ideas.
