Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager with drive and ambition to cover the UK Ireland.

The Role:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for all sales through a network of resellers. These resellers are managed by a team of Sales Staff who will report directly to the Business Development Manager. Marketing activities will also be directed by the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

Develop a strategy for development of companys reseller channel to ensure the channel is able to meet agreed sales targets.

Responsible for new business development and recruitment of new reseller partners including possible expansion into select continental European markets other markets.

Responsible for all reseller agreements, contract and adherence.

Manage and deliver joint business plan development and reseller reviews to achieve volume targets.

Directly responsible for company revenue.

Manage the use of Sales and Marketing Budgets.

Manage the sales teams to deliver profitable growth.

Define and oversee incentive programs that motivate the sales team and channel partners to achieve their sales targets.

Define and co-ordinate sales and reseller training programs that enable staff and resellers achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.

Exceed customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.

Hire and develop sales staff

Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting

Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales marketing function.

Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions.

Closely monitor understand market trends and demands, advising Engineering and senior management on new product direction.

Manage the marketing function to establish successful channel and partner programs and the associated budget, including joint marketing programmes with reseller partners.

Travel for in-person meetings with resellers when required and to support the sales staff.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience in a Channel Sales Management Role

Strong sales background, proven sales ability and a track record of achieving or beating revenue targets

Proven man management skills

Experience in developing and implementing reseller programmes

Experience in developing new markets

Background in Agricultural Machinery or Equipment industry

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written

Strong Interpersonal skills and enjoys working in a team environment

Willing and available to travel regularly
