S207 - Operations Manager - Lincolnshire

On behalf of a leading agricultural business we are looking to recruit an Operations Manager for a seed production facility in Lincolnshire. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for leadership and overseeing the day to day running of the site. This would include HSE, Security and QA planning as well coordinating seed, logistics and grain activity.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for leadership and overseeing the day to day running of the site. This would include HSE, Security and QA planning as well coordinating seed, logistics and grain activity.

We are looking for candidates with line management experience who are able to work to a high standard in a pressured environment whilst building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

It would be advantageous for applicants to hold IOSH Managing Safety and Managing Environment qualifications but training can be provided for the right candidate. Being CPC trained for O licence would also be of benefit.

Responsibilities:

Line Management responsibility for Seed Production Manager, Site Manager and Logistics Team effectively to ensure optimum performance

Help to ensure mobile dressers are run effectively

Respond promptly to any customer enquiries or complaints

Produce Site and Production budgets

Ensure the site operates to high standards in relation to QA, Health, Safety and Environmental issues.

Ensure accurate record keeping for QA, Health, Safety and environmental legislation

Lead Capital Expenditure projects for the site.

Oversee the management of site based vehicle fleet.

Produce accurate KPIs of performance for all Operations and Logistics staff and deliver continuous improvement.

Effective resource planning to ensure peak periods are adequately covered and that succession and growth plans are in place.

Requirements

Ideally previous experience at a seed processing, grain storage, feed manufacture, fertiliser blending, or similar production site.

Previous management/team leadership responsibility

Full UK Driving Licence

Excellent communication skills

Able to work effectively in a team and under own supervision

IT skills

Hold a flexible approach to work especially during peak period
