An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a leading supplier to a global fast food provider that could serve as a stepping stone into the world of food production or procurement. The Quality Assurance co-ordinator role will be based at the customers head office in East Finchley, but will provide opportunity to broaden the successful applicants exposure and knowledge to the broader supply chain
Executing the Quality Assurance Departments responsibilities in all food related quality issues.
Working on specific QA and nutrition related projects.
Achieve a deep understanding of ingredient specifications and an understanding of best practise of operations performance.
Working with food suppliers and other internal departments on various aspects concerning food quality and standards. Also, assisting in the Distribution Centres Test Kitchens as part of the ATCQ DC checks
Regular communication with Distribution Centres and other suppliers regarding Product Complaints (PC) and Foreign Objects (FO) complaints.
Distributing relevant information and updates to the teams, internal departments, our contractors and our suppliers.
Compile information for various reports for team/department. Reports include:
Weekly Tracking, Service Level Agreement (SLA), Restaurant Complaints Headlines , Monthly Quality Overview
Handling of general restaurant and supplier enquiries.
Understanding of ingredient quality standards and assisting suppliers towards ensuring ingredient specifications are achieved.
The successful applicant will have a passion for food quality and be able to take on a range of new information. In addition it is essential for the individual to display experience of excellent organisational, planning and interpersonal skills. Accurate written and verbal communication skills will also be an essential tribute.
The applicant will be working in a fast moving environment and the ability to be agile in approach and work to changing priorities will also be a benefit.
In order to fulfil the role to its maximum potential the applicant shall
Have achieved a degree in a food science discipline
Be a self-starter and demonstrate examples of working on their own initiative
Demonstrate a proficiency in working with the Microsoft Office suite.
Ideally have some relevant work or life experience in food production
A clean driving licence is highly desirable although not essential
Salary/Benefits 22,000 - 25,000
