Key Responsibilities.

A broad range of analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation. (HPLC, GC, GCMS, LCMS etc;)

Method Development and Method Validation procedures

Managing, training, mentoring and developing scientific laboratory staff

Efficiently setting up, operating and growing an analytical chemistry laboratory facility including scheduling and workload planning.

Providing analytical chemistry support for agrochemical, pharmaceutical and chemical clients across various scientific disciplines including ecotoxicology, environmental fate, plant metabolism/residue (including radio-labeling analysis) and physical chemistry testing

Key Candidate Attributes:

Familiarity with a CRO environment and the demands of maintaining scientific excellence while meeting project deliverables and urgent customer timelines.

Understands and is comfortable with Good Laboratory Practices and related global quality standards and able to respond to client audits and regulatory inspections.

Commercially astute, capable of interacting with potential and current customers, supporting business growth and if necessary, identifying proactive solutions to varied customer challenges

Interested in working in a team environment and enthusiastic about being part of, and working with, a senior management team developing and growing a global analytical business.

Has a passion for chemistry and scientific excellence in all areas

At least 10 years scientific experience in an analytical chemistry environment.

Capable of nurturing and growing talent in the organization and retaining good staff.

BSc / MSc / PhD in relevant scientific discipline

Remuneration: An excellent salary is expected with the potential for an annual cash bonus and stock options as part of a long-term senior management incentive plan. Assistance with relocation will be available in appropriate cases.
