S199 - Technical Manager - Vegetables - Home Based - East

A successful crop protection company are actively seeking a Technical Manager to be responsible for the vegetable crop protection range as well as the companys vegetable seed portfolio. The successful candidate must be an influencer with sufficient previous experience of the vegetable sector for this senior role. Strong vegetable agronomy skills are also of paramount importance. This creative individual will be an innovative thinker, be able to put together credible technical messages for the sales team and identify new opportunities for the business.

The successful candidate must be an influencer with sufficient previous experience of the vegetable sector for this senior role. Strong vegetable agronomy skills are also of paramount importance. This creative individual will be an innovative thinker, be able to put together credible technical messages for the sales team and identify new opportunities for the business.

Responsibilities:

Identify, communicate and steward measurable technical attributes across the vegetable product portfolio.

Plan and deliver commercial trials to build deep understanding of product offers and maximize the impact of product launches and the overall commercial portfolio on sales and market share.

Provide the technical leadership and co-ordination for internal and external demonstration trials.

Crop expertise: Provide agronomic support, training and coaching to the sales force, key account managers, channel partners and grower customers.

Identify potential solutions to address grower needs and support new product launches via participation in demonstration trials.

Manage and deliver close technical relationships with key Distributor accounts influencers.

Develop product protocols and plans as defined by campaigns and company strategy and lead results interpretation.

Requirements:

In-field technical experience.

In-field experience in a commercial environment.

Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, presentation.

Hold critical internal and external crop expertise across a range of agronomic and market conditions

In-depth crop product knowledge

Product stewardship experience

Based in the field - so can be home based, with travel required across the country.
