M563 - Sales Executive - Agricultural Events Exhibitions - East Midlands

Office based sales executive to sell stand space, advertising and sponsorship for leading agricultural events and exhibitions.

Excellent career opportunity to sell stand space, advertising and sponsorship for some of the largest UK Agricultural events which are already firmly established as the premier trade events in the farming calendar. The Sales Executive will be actively selling but also will be maintaining excellent business relationships with key clients and providing a high level of customer care for existing and potential exhibitors.

Our client is keen to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Executive to join their successful and ambitious event team.

The role:

To sell stand space, advertising and sponsorship for major agricultural events.

To build and maintain good relationships with exhibitors through telephone and some face to face

To source new sales leads both in the UK and international market place

To look at new advertising and sponsorship opportunities

To continue to build and maintain an existing and potential exhibitor database

To providing regular sales reports and accompanying spread sheets to the Event Director

To work within the on-site rebooking team at the events.

To develop an in depth understanding of the Agricultural sector market place.

To undertake any other work as reasonably required and to help on other shows when required

Candidate Requirements:

Proven track record in telesales, field sales, or in a sales based environment

Events and Exhibitions experience helpful but not essential.

Knowledge of the UK farming and the agriculture industry - helpful although training will be provided

Ability to manage key relationships.

Strong IT Skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Team player

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Customer focussed

Ability to show resilience under pressure

Salary: Competitive salary package depending on experience
