M560 - Analytical Technician for Global Manufacturer - HPLC and GC
My well established client has an excellent career opportunity for an experienced analytical techinican, HPLC and GC skills, to join a well-established and growing global team to work on the design and testing of innovative new biological and chemical formulations.

The main responsibility of the analytical technician will be to carry out the testing of formulation and product samples by HPLC and GC in support of the formulation development group. The technician will work closely with global formulation scientists and chemists to ensure that all analytical data is generated to the appropriate international standards. The technician will also support the formulation group by conducting a wide range of laboratory duties in support of new and existing products. The Global RD team are based at a modern research and development facility in lovely rural surroundings.
To generate and report accurate analytical data (HPLC and GC) within required deadlines in support of the global formulation development team.
To develop, implement and validate new methods for new active ingredients/products as required.
To maintain relevant documentation and records.
Accurately record data from all studies in benchbooks, pro-formas, databases and spreadsheets and check data quality to look for trends (e.g. shelf life).
Maintain all laboratory resources and equipment to an acceptable standard.
Work to the principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
Work according to documented procedures, policies and safety standards.
Contribute to the team meetings.
Educated to Degree level or HND or A level in relevant scientific subject.
Minimum of 2 years experience in carrying out analysis by HPLC and GC.
At least 2 years work experience in an analytical laboratory environment.
Good organization skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Broad range of experience in formulation and/or testing in laboratory.
A sound understanding of the principles of GLP.
Diligent with attention to detail.
Good verbal communication skills and able to keep detailed records.
Computer literacy for the use of Excel, Access, and other MS Office software.
Ability to work under pressure and have a flexible attitude.
