Rare opportunity to sell stand space, advertising and sponsorship for some of the largest UK Agricultural events which are already firmly established as the premier trade events in the farming calendar.

A highly motivated and enthusiastic Sales Manager is require to drive continuous improvement and maximise revenue of the Events. The successful candidate will be required to manage key relationships with existing and potential exhibitors providing a high level of customer care.

The role:

Delivering stand, advertising and sponsorship revenue within budget

To build good relationships with exhibitors through telephone and face to face contact and where necessary, their agents

To source new sales leads both in the UK and international market place

To consider new advertising and sponsorship opportunities

Build and maintain an existing and potential exhibitor database

Provide correct weekly sales report and accompanying spread sheet to the Event Director and accounts department

To provide correct weekly sales figures to the accounts department

To manage the on-site rebooking team at the events.

To attend meetings with the Event Director and liaise with the Event Director on a regular basis

To develop an in depth understanding of the markets in which our client competes

On an annual basis establish the exhibitor stand rates for all competitor and farming industry events

To undertake any other work as reasonably required and to help on other shows when required

Candidate Requirements:

Excellent knowledge of the UK farming and the agriculture industry

Proven track record in sales or in a strong sales based environment

Event and Exhibitions knowledge helpful but not essential.

Ability to manage key relationships.

Strong IT Skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Pro-active with the ability to work on own initiative

Team player

Ability to work to a high standard

Leadership skills (getting the job done and taking charge of the situation)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Customer focussed

Ability to show resilience under pressure

Full UK driving licence - Essential as client visits will be an important part of this role.

Salary: A highly competitive salary package is on offer to the successful candidate (Competitive base + excellent commission bonus + other benefits)

Location: Office based in Midlands
