Their purpose is to equip levy payers with independent, evidence-based information and tools to grow and become more competitive and sustainable.

The Benchmarking Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that industry representative benchmarking data sets are collected, validated, analysed and fed back to farmers. In addition, the Benchmarking Project Manager is responsible for managing and supporting the other regional officers in the team.

This is an Office based role in Warwickshire.

THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To lead and motivate the Regional Officer (RO) field team encouraging high performance work practices with in the team including line management responsibility for the RO team

Project manage the collection and delivery of benchmarking data including leading on the data collection software development

To ensure the achievement of agreed targets for data collection of economic and technical farm data

Work with the Regional farmer-facing staff in AHDB and external consultants in interpreting and feeding back benchmarking reports to farmers.

To inform and support higher level management decisions relating to the RO team that fall within the FE Manager remit.

Collect and validate data from farmers for uploading to the MI benchmarking system in line with the specified process and schedules outlined in the operations and procedures manual.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Professional qualification in Economics/Agriculture or another numerate discipline, or equivalent experience

Knowledge of physical and financial data recording systems, including tax and management accounts; the main cost of production principles,

Knowledge of farming practices and inputs markets particularly in the dairy, beef and sheep sectors

Experience of using modern IT applications, especially MS Excel

Strong Team player

Excellent Communication Skills

Valid UK driving licence
