De Lacy Executive is seeking an ambitious and experienced Animal Health Sales Professional in the South West of England. Our client is a competitive global manufacturer and distributor within the pharmaceutical industry offering a comprehensive range of animal health products. You would be part of an international team that prides itself on the traditional pillars of good customer service, quality technical advice, competitive pricing and prompt delivery.

Products are distributed to farm through the merchant trade and the appointee will have the ability to promote sales through the trade in addition to being comfortable on farm, making sales to farmers.

Other duties include:

Account management and business development.

Product launches.

Promotion and selling of a complete range of large animal healthcare and veterinary pharmaceutical products.

On farm negotiations, demonstrations and meetings.

Reviewing and improving processes to increase customer satisfaction and minimise any potential loss to the company.

Maintain good relationships with store representatives.

Attending trade events, shows and conferences.

Applicants should come from one of many agricultural sales or advisory backgrounds. Success in selling to farmers in the animal health would be of particular interest. The ability to talk confidently, with credibility to dairy, sheep and beef farmers is essential.

Requirements:

AMTRA qualification preferable.

Several years agricultural field sales experience in direct relation to animal health, veterinary pharmaceuticals or related agricultural products.

High levels of initiative and a sound work ethic

Willingness to travel and hold a valid UK driving licence.

The ability to be able to form long lasting business relationships

In depth knowledge of UK dairy, sheep and beef farming

Highly motivated, driven, tenacious and ambitious to succeed.
