M548 - Agrochemicals Area Manager - Kent

Home based in Kent managing key accounts on behalf of a leading agrochemical manufacturer. Providing techincal support, liaising with dsitributors, agronomists and farmers.

Great opportunity to join a leading global manufacturer as an Area Manager based in Kent. The company has an excellent reputation and a proven range of high quality crop protection products. You will pick up the key accounts and manage and develop the area.

This is essentially an account management and advisory role; and will involve liaison with the main distributors, farmers, growers, processors, packers, agricultural merchants, and agronomists across Kent and the surrounding area. The Area Manager will need to maintain existing strong business relationships and build new ones. Other important elements of the role are to provide technical support, give product presentations, and support the selling of a top quality range of agrochemical products.

Candidates will ideally have previous experience in the Agriculture or Crops Sector or Agrochemicals - or may currently be working in Agronomy, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Account Management, Field Trials, Research Development, Farm Management, Farm Liaison , Farm Trading, Farm Consultancy, Estate Management or similar and now feel ready to progress into a varied and challenging new role. Full product training will be provided as required. There will be many career development opportunities within this sizeable and successful business.

The role is home based in Kent but will require travel around the region and occasionally further afield.

Candidate Requirements:-

Relevant qualification (HND/degree) in Agriculture, Agronomy, Biology or similar - preferred

Sound technical knowledge of, and passion for, UK agriculture, farming and crop growing.

BASIS qualified (or have the ability to gain the BASIS qualification quickly).

Previous experience of building business relationships, product support, or selling agricultural products.

Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.

Confident, credible, self-starter.

Able to work autonomously.

Full UK driving licence

Location - home-based in Kent.
