S178 - Growing Manager - Soft Fruit -South Wales

De Lacy Executive have been engaged to recruit a Growing Manager in South Wales to lead the operations and staff of a 8ha glasshouse, dedicated to intensive growing of soft fruit using advanced tabletop substrate systems. Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, the position will be responsible for constantly driving performance so that the glasshouse remains a market leader in UK soft fruit production.

De Lacy Executive have been engaged to recruit a Growing Manager in South Wales to lead the operations and staff of a 8ha glasshouse, dedicated to intensive growing of soft fruit using advanced tabletop substrate systems. Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, the position will be responsible for constantly driving performance so that the glasshouse remains a market leader in UK soft fruit production.

The Key Elements of the Role:

Lead the decision-making on all growing matters including fertigation, production tasks, venting climate control, spraying, cleaning and site maintenance and stock control and heating.

Provide technical growing expertise, advice, and direction to team members at all times. Develop innovative approaches and techniques to continually develop new and best practice.

Deliver the financial budget on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

Develop, monitor, achieve report KPIs for all growing and farm standards.

Develop a Lean and sustainable approach to all operations.

Ensure that all team members are trained as needed, that tasks are completed on time and to agreed standards, and that growing operations achieve all productivity and budgeted cost targets.

Identify and develop talent within the team.

The Manager will be:
