ABHC414 - Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant role

The purpose of this role is to work within the Residential Conveyancing Department in a Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant role. You should have previous Residential Conveyancing experience and completion of the Legal Practice course is advantageous. Legal Graduates would also be considered.

Personality, drive and attitude are key for the role and the organisation.

Main Duties;

To provide a friendly and efficient conveyancing service to clients

To keep the client fully and regularly informed at all times throughout their transaction

To develop business relationships with Estate Agents, Brokers and other third parties

To account to the client and other parties to the transaction at the appropriate times

To comply with Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and all other Law Society requirements

To deal with all administrative aspects of transactions. To work in a tidy and organised manner

To demonstrate an interest in the furtherance of the business and in improving productivity within the department

To maintain a good working relationship with your immediate supervisor and all other members of staff

To keep your supervisor up to date with all aspects of your work

To be committed to the LEXCEL and Investors in People standards, the requirements of the Law Society and the Legal Aid Board Franchising Specification and to understand them. To be Familiar with the Office Manual

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. The salary for this role is based on experience.
