FADEB - Finance Assistant Data Processing

An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant within the Data Processing team in our Taunton Support Centre. This role is responsible for accurately processing internal and external documents, including credit notes and related documents, whilst provide an efficient and effective customer service to all internal and external customers. You will work as part of a team to receive and process documents through OCR (Optical Character Recognition) validation in line with business compliance. You will have the opportunity to become a Subject Matter Expert as well as participating in forthcoming projects. This role is ideal for starting a career within Finance.

Key Tasks:

• Sort post, barcoding and scanning invoices and relating documents

• Validate all types of documents when received via post or electronically

• Manually key into other systems

• Daily controls

• Prepare DP forecast

• Freight Track

• Provide back up for weekly reconciliation in Retail Services (stats for KPI’S)

Candidate Requirements:

• Able to flexibly manage own priorities, to meet both short and long term requirements.

• Ability to work independently or with a team to resolve issues and overcome obstacles that may arise.

• Good communicator with colleagues.

• Attention to detail and accuracy of work

• Ability to work as part of a team to achieve deadlines

• Clear and confident verbal and written communication

• Flexible approach

• Open to change

• Not afraid to challenge existing processes

• Show initiative

• PC Skills

• Knowledge of Excel & Access

Experience & Qualifications:

• PC Skills

• Knowledge of Excel & Access

• Experience within an office environment preferable

• The successful candidate will be required to complete a CRB check
