APPA - Accounts Payable Payment Assistant

We are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Payable - Payments Assistant to work within our centralised transactions team. Reporting directly into the Query Resolution Team Leader, you will be responsible for preparing supplier payment runs, validating accuracy and ensuring payments are submitted to deadlines. This is a challenging role for the right candidate with real opportunity for them to put their own mark on improving our accounts payable payment processes.

Details

•Preparing weekly supplier BACS runs across all NG Bailey divisions.

•Ensuring all payment runs are approved appropriately and follow validation guidelines.

•Posting of direct debits and reconciliation of accounts.

•Occasional international payment preparation.

•Supporting the Query Resolution Team as required along with assisting with ad hoc queries from the business.

Essential criteria

To be successful in this role you will have previously worked in a similar role with experience of making payments, ideally within a multi-divisional environment.

With strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with the business and suppliers, you will have good planning and organisational skills with the ability to balance and prioritise work.

You will have excellent attention to detail and Excel skills, taking pride in the quality and accuracy of your work. You should have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain delivery focused to support the business. Previous experience of COINS or IFS systems is desirable.
