APSTL - Accounts Payable Subcontractor Team Leader

We are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Payable – Subcontractor Team Leader to work within our centralised transactions team. Reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of 4 Accounts Payable Assistants whose responsibilities are to manage the Accounts Payable subcontractors ledger. This is a challenging role for the right candidate with real opportunity for them to put their own mark on improving our accounts payable processes.

Details •Ensuring subcontractor accounts are effectively managed and paid to terms.

•Overseeing the weekly production of supplier payment runs.

•Ensuring validations are completed in line with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)

•Ensuring timely and accurate submission of online CIS returns.

•Managing intercompany payments.

•Leadership of the team which will include carrying out regular one to ones, setting and monitoring KPIs, development of the team and setting objectives.

•Supporting the Accounts Payable Manager to drive improvements across the AP team

•Ad hoc queries from the business and providing support where required.

Essential criteria •To be successful in this role you will have previously worked in a similar role with experience of leading an Accounts Payable team.

•With a thorough knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with the business.

•With good planning and organisational skills with the ability to balance and prioritise work, you will have excellent attention to detail and Excel skills, taking pride in the quality and accuracy of your work.
